First Nations Health Authority and Tuberculosis Services for Aboriginal Communities Call Out for Community Small Grants

The Tuberculosis Services for Aboriginal Communities (TBSAC) program is offering an opportunity to fund small projects to help raise Tuberculosis (TB) education, knowledge and dialogue within First Nations communities in BC. A maximum one time funding grant of $2,500 is available to help support your creative community-based initiative. The $2,500 may be split between several communities if smaller projects are proposed.
There are a variety ways in which First Nations communities in BC can engage and facilitate TB education. Some ideas may include:
– TB luncheon or dinner
– Posters and/or contests
– Story-telling session
– Facilitators for TB education
– TB videos/movie showing
– TB skin test screening with incentives
– Resources (t-shirts, bags, sports items, etc.)
– Sports initiatives, games
– Any other idea your community may have is wide open to try!

All applications will be reviewed by the TB program team and the recipient(s) contacted after December 1, 2015.
