Learn to use your Boardroom Telehealth Equipment like a Pro

FNHA-Telehealth-Training-Manual

Have questions about how to use your community’s telehealth equipment? Look no further – the FNHA Telehealth Training Manual has the answers. The training manual for educational telehealth covers everything from step-by-step telehealth ‘basics’ to requesting a multi-site session. The new manual also provides tips on how to make videoconferencing more effective.

The training manual is designed for individuals, groups and communities that have received telehealth equipment as part of ‘Wave 1’ of the First Nations Telehealth Expansion Project (FNTEP). The newly released Telehealth Training Manual was co-created through a partnership between the First Nations Health Authority and the UBC Learning Circle through the UBC Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health.

How can I get the manual?

The training manual is available for download on the FNHA website. Communities that have received boardroom-based telehealth equipment in the past year will be mailed copies of the manual in October.

What is Educational Telehealth?

Telehealth technology is not only being used for medical consultations at a distance but also for accessing educational workshops and webinars from afar. With telehealth videoconferencing technology communities can access educational workshops from almost anywhere – something that wasn’t possible before.
