Bringing nearly 600 together young and old, men and women, Carrier Sekani Family Services held their 3rd Annual Winter Wellness Games. Highlighted by ice hockey, floor hockey and snowshoeing activities, the event brought together some of their most remote communities over the course of a January weekend providing the rare opportunity to meet, compete, and share time with each other.

Especially popular with the youth, the floor hockey tournament in Burns Lake was a great success, several teams travelling many hours with their families to joining to cheer them on. Winning and most sportsmanlike teams were awarded sweatshirts for their play.
A warm hot chocolate and a day on scenic and serene Mouse Mountain provided some of the best snowshoeing the region has to offer. Trails suitable for all ages and ability levels ensured participation and enjoyment from all. Signs of wildlife were everywhere, moose and deer could be seen overlooking Fraser Lake at the top of the 90 minute hike.
