The First Nations Health Authority, in partnership with the Rural Coordination Centre of BC and Health Quality BC, is holding the Rural Voices Gathering 2024.
The event is for anyone who works, lives or provides services to First Nations, Metis and rural or remote communities in BC. People who are passionate about improving health care are encouraged to attend.
Discussions during this event will include the Rural and Remote Health Strategy being developed by the BC Ministry of Health, transportation for health services; selection, education and training for health care providers from rural, remote, First Nations and Métis communities; and hybrid, relationship-based health care including peer-to-peer virtual support, in-person and virtual patient consultations.
This is an important event for partners across a wide range of groups to attend and make their voices heard. Policymakers, administrators, health care provides, academics and community members are all encouraged to participate.
The Rural Voices Gathering will be held on November 20 and 27 virtually via Zoom with local in-person community gatherings in between the virtual sessions. More information and how to register can be found here.
