As part of our vision to provide the highest level of health and wellness for First Nations in British Columbia (BC), the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is running focus groups for family members who have had loved ones attend a treatment centre that is funded by the FNHA.
For a full list of treatment centres funded by the FNHA, visit our website.
What: Small groups of family members from across BC can share their thoughts about how to best support and hold up family members struggling with substance use. Information shared will help us understand the needs and experiences of clients and their families and how we can improve treatment services and supports.
Where: The discussions will be held virtually (Zoom) and will be led by an Indigenous facilitator.
Who: Family members of loved ones who have attended treatment centres funded by the FNHA within the last five years.
When: The focus groups will be held on:
- 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, June 19
- 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 22
- 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 26
Family members who attend will receive an honorarium.
