As part of BC's Restart Plan, the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is resuming normal health benefits coverage so that clients can access the care they need.
Health service providers began re-opening in mid-May for routine or non-emergency care, such as dental cleanings, eye exams and elective surgeries. Medical Transportation benefits have been reinstated for all appointments.
Some providers may ask you to wear masks while inside their clinics. Please contact your provider before your appointment to learn about any new safety procedures that may be in place. Additional charges for non-medical masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) items are not covered by Health Benefits.
The FNHA continues to offer support to First Nations in BC during the COVID-19 pandemic. For information on health benefits coverage, please call 1-855-550-5454 or visit fnha.ca/benefits.
