The First Nations Health & Wellness Summit is an annual three-day event that brings together community and health leaders, health system partners and featured speakers to develop wholistic wellness practices for First Nations in British Columbia.
By gathering together, participants help collaboratively shape and direct the implementation of wise, community-driven practices into the broader health care system. The Summit is designed to gain input, learn from and honour community voices, and then create policies and programs to support those ideas.
The First Nations Health & Wellness Summit features a series of keynote speakers, workshops and interactive discussions. Participants can take back these collaborative learnings to community and incorporate or modify them to suit their own unique needs. There is also practical training and education sessions about trauma, substance use, harm reduction and wholistic wellness.
