About the Five-Year Plan
The renewal of FNHA’s Five-Year Plan provides an opportunity to shape the next five years of our journey towards “Healthy, Self-determining and Vibrant BC First Nations Children, Families and Communities.”
We are currently in the final year (2021/22) of the current plan, which includes a focus on Health Planning and Capital Planning.
Health Planning
The Five-Year Plan Renewal is being shaped by two phases of engagement, and a review of key information sources, such as Community and Regional Health and Wellness Plans.
Fall 2020 | Phase 1 Engagement
- Engagement on FNHA goal priority areas for next five years
- Review of community and regional plans, evaluation and document findings
- Ongoing planning discussions with First Nations Health Governance Leadership
Winter 2021 | Draft Themes Emerged
- Review of engagement findings and key documents
Spring 2021 | Phase 2 Engagement
- Feedback on draft themes through second round of engagement
Summer and Fall 2021 | Draft Plan
Spring 2022 | Launch Plan
- Plan comes into effect April 1, 2022
