​To honour Indigenous Milk Medicine Week, the First Nations Health Authority's Maternal, Child and Family Wellness team is hosting five webinars.

These webinars will touch on this year's theme, "Mind, Body, Milk Medicine" through sessions led by Elders, people with lived experience and communities with successful breastfeeding and chestfeeding programs.

Webinar topics:

  • Thursday August 8: Weaving traditional knowledge into modern breastfeeding and chestfeeding support led by Toni Winterhoff and recorded guest Marguerite James
  • Friday August 9: Braiding lived experience with culture and nursing led by Inez Louis
  • Monday August 12: Milk, medicine and substances led by Aiden Farrow
  • Tuesday August 13: Empowering conversations led by Renee McKeown  and Toni Winterhoff
  • Wednesday August 14: Panel discussion with parents sharing their lived experiences moderated by Lucy Barney
