The Board of the First Nations Health Authority would like to thank Joe Gallagher, who leaves his role as our CEO today, for his years of service and his many contributions to the FNHA and our communities. Effective today, Richard Jock, our Chief Operations Officer will assume the role of acting CEO of the First Nations Health Authority. The Board would like to take this opportunity to assure all our clients and partners that they will continue to receive the same level and quality of service that they have come to expect from FNHA staff around the province.

Mr. Gallagher was instrumental in helping our nations take control of their own health services with the transfer of responsibility from Health Canada to the First Nations Health Authority. The result is a health system for First Nations in BC based on our values that is transforming the health outcomes of our communities and making service delivery culturally safer all the time.
