Her nomination reflects an accomplished career of sustained impact
On November 20, 2020, the Canadian Nurses Association (CAN) celebrated the induction of the Inaugural Class of Fellows into the CNA flagship program of the Canadian Academy of Nursing, including FNHA's own Dr. Becky Palmer!
Becky is one of twelve Charter Fellows and 46 Inaugural Fellows of the Academy who are among the most accomplished nurses in our Country, recognized for their accomplishments and dedication to the nursing profession. Becky's successful nomination reflects an accomplished career of sustained impact.
Building on a strong foundation in women's and children's health, Becky has contributed to the improvement of health and health care through nursing at all levels in the health care system and within all domains of practice, including clinical practice, policy, education and knowledge exchange, research and systems transformational leadership.
As the inaugural Chief Nursing Officer for FNHA, Becky's work has contributed towards the health and wellness of First Nations Peoples in BC. Becky continues to advocate for a system of care that bridges traditional and western, medicine, and supports a wholistic trauma-informed paradigm of care.
